GIC Access
  • Global Protect Client: For Ericsson Remote Access, Global Protect client would automatically be Installed on the machine while commissioning. Subsequent Upgrades to the client would be managed by Backend team through Global Protect portals.
  • Managed Workplace: If you are using a Managed Workplace device provided by Ericsson, please retrieve the latest tested version of the Citrix Workspace App through the standard software installation tools mentioned below:
    • Managed Windows -- From "Software Center"
    • Modern client -- From "Microsoft Store"
    • EMB -- From "Self-service portal"
    • ELX(UBUNTU) -- From "Binary Repository"
  • Non-Managed Workplace: For non-managed clients like personal laptops, smartphones, tablets or any other similar device, please download the latest version of the Citrix Workspace client directly from Citrix portal. Download Link has been provided below.
  • Q: How do I use Site Selection option from Map?
  • A:Site selection option is only applicable to ViCS users.
  • By default ViCS and MSDP users would be redirect to their nearest site.
  • This does not apply to EDA users as they would be seeing all gateway options under EDA tab.

  • Q:Can I access GIC from internet if I am a TPC user?
  • A:Yes, TPC users can access GIC from internet by clicking ‘GIC Access’ in Homepage. They can use options listed below:

  • Q: I get an error message "NOT PASSED REQUIREMENTS" after login into GlobalProtect. What should I do?
  • A: Make sure your Ericsson Managed Workplace device has fulfilled below requirements:
  • MWP
    • Symantec Anti-Virus and Symantec Firewall Should be turned ON
    • Antivirus should be updated
    Bitlocker
    • Hard Drive Encryption should be installed, and encryption must be ON
    • DHCP Client Must be ON

  • Q: I am receiving error message as ‘Incorrect username or password’
  • A:
    1. 1. To reset your EGAD/LAN password, Click Here and follow the instructions under Change your password
    2. 2. To reset hard/soft token, Click Here and follow the instructions under Strong Authentication portal
    3. 3. For any issue with ERICA certificate, Click Here and follow the instructions under ERICA certificate
    4. 4. Also refer respective user guide and If this still does not resolve the issue, call the Service Desk for further support.

  • To resolve connection issues with Pulse Secure follow these steps:

    1. Click on the below button "DOWNLOAD / RUN PULSE SECURE CLEANUP".
    2. When prompted, select "RUN" and then "INSTALL".
    3. Let the script run (do not worry about text in red). Once finalized, "RESTART" your computer.
    4. Go to HOME PAGE and select "ERICSSON DIRECT ACCESS" to connect. You will be prompted to "INSTALL" Pulse Secure.
    Follow the instructions on the screen.
    5. After completing the above mentioned steps if you still face the issue kindly contact SERVICE DESK for further assistance.
